VIDEOFILIA (Y OTROS SÍNDROMES VIRALES) /
VIDEOPHILIA (AND OTHER VIRAL SYNDROMES)
Peru
“The Grand Prix goes to Videophilia (and other Viral Syndromes) because of its rich visual language. We honor that the director sympathizes with all his characters that live in the movie. In this film the international phenomenon of cybersex, parties, drugs and teenage misfits has an overall subtext about the Peruvian society, going back to its Maya culture towards today’s icons and rituals that provides the soundtrack of the movie.”

“We have decided to give a Special Award to a film that balances between documentary and fiction, thus crossing the borders between disciplines.
