During the state of emergency in Islay two cameramen buried an external memory with unpublished material of the conflict against the mining project Southern Copper. During the edition of the documentary, some found footage will help defend the case of criminalization of farmer Antonio Coasaca accused of violating the police and accused of 6 to 8 years in prison.
Renzo Alva Hurtado
(Lima, 1987) studied at the Argentine film union interested in colorimetry and D.O.P. The experimentation with cinematographic and digital formats marked the development of his work. Master in Visual Anthropology at the Catholic University of Peru and former student of Buenos Aires Talent Campus 2013, his first feature film Cronología del olvido (2012), a found footage experimental documentary, has been screened in places such as the Art Museum of Lima, Palais de Glace Argentina, Havana Film Festival, Lima Independent and winner of the best experimental film 2015 DAFO (The Audiovisual, Phonographic and New Media Direction). His last short film, Polimorfismo (2013) has been presented at the Havana Film Festival, the Independent Lima Festival and the Lima Art Museum. In 2015 he created an interdisciplinary and participatory film project called Vision Cinema winner of the cultural management project fund 2015 (Ministry of Culture) to work with indigenous communities in Loreto. During 2015 and 2017 he worked on the participatory coverage of marches against the Tía María mining project of Southern Copper.
