Yo is a strong young man, but with limited mental skills. He says he is fifteen years old, although he seems to be older. He lives and works in his mother’s restaurant by a busy freeway. Yo loves his mother but hates her lover. One day he meets Elena, an eleven year old girl, who will change his life forever.
Graduated from Film Direction in Mexico City, he has ten years of experience as a screenwriter, director and producer. He is a co-founder of Axolote Cine. His films Wadley, The Cramp and The Last Christeros have been programmed in film festivals like Toronto, Rotterdam and Locarno among many others. The Last Christeros established him as one of the most gifted young Mexican filmmakers, with a combination of minimalist cinema and historical depiction.
